Hewlett – Packard is a very well known company for computer users. HP was the largest PC manufacturing company until Lenovo overtook it. But still HP is major supplier of personal computers to many small scale to large business firms.

HP has released mobile phones as well tablets. The mobile phones are primarily Windows OS based phones where as few tablets from HP run on Android 4.4.1. Though HP android tablet was not received well it was successful commercially in terms of sales.

  • Backup your device to PC.
  • Enable unknown sources in security settings.
  • Enable USB debugging.

ROOT HP TABLET WITHOUT PC:

Rooting without PC is known as one click root. This does not require much technical knowledge or skill. You need to download a rooting app and install on your device. Run the app and get the root access. Some of the rooting apps include:

Install any one of the above app and run the app. Follow the onscreen instructions and your device will be rooted. This method involves minimal risks and you can try another app if you are not successful with the app you tried.

Though these apps support vast number of devices the success rate depends on the device model, android firmware version and the version of the app itself. Check the developer’s website for the support of  your device.

Root Hp Tablet

ROOT HP TABLET WITH PC: 

This method is also a simple process as the HP tablets are older devices and you need not do much tedious works to successfully root using a PC. Download the rooting tool for HP Tablet from HERE and extract the contents. Download and install ADB drivers on your PC.

Make sure you have updated the HP drivers on your PC. Alternatively open the device manager on your PC and look for HP device connected in the devices list. Right click on the the device name and select update device drivers. Then manually update the driver by selecting the option ‘let me pick from the list of devices’ and select the ini file that is located in the folder where you have extracted the rooting tool. Let the install finish and now open the Cydia impactor and click start. You are done. Your device is successfully rooted.

Manually install Superuser app from the play store. Update the binary normally if prompted.

Make sure that your device is compatible with the rooting tool. The rooting tool itself may require an update.
