How to Root you Android Device With as Single Click using iRoot

iRoot is one of the popular rooting apps which can root your device without using PC. There is PC version of this application but in this article I will give a walkthrough about rooting your android device without the use of PC.

NOTE: iRoot apk can root your device if your android firmware version is 4.4.4 (KitKat) or below. There can be some errors or may be a failure to root your device even if your android firmware is at 4.4.4. If you are below 4.4.4, your device can be rooted easily.

THE PC VERSION OF iRoot CAN ROOT DEVICES RUNNING ON ANDROID 5.0. – THIS GUIDE IS FOR APK VERSION ONLY.

iRoot PREREQUISITES:

1. Make sure your device is running on Android 4.4.4 or below.
2. Enable ‘unknown sources’ in your device security settings.
3. Enable USB debugging in developer options.
4. Download any file explorer app from Google Play Store or you can use inbuilt file explorer app that comes with the device. If you want a better file explorer you can download ES File explorer which is most popular app and it can be used as root explorer also.
5. Make sure you are connected to good internet connection.

• Once downloaded, install the app with the help of file explorer.
• After installation open the app and you will see a message as ‘No Root Permission’ and “Get Root Access’. Tap on ‘Get Root Access’

• The rooting process will begin and it will take time depending on your internet speed. It will download required exploits and execute the rooting procedure.
• A pop up message may appear asking you to accept the installation of KingRoot, accept it and allow the installation of KingRoot
• Once the file is installed in background, the process will continue for some time and you will finally get a message as ‘Root Successful’
• You can see KingRoot app on your device which itself will act as superuser.
• You can download any root checker app and check whether your device is rooted or not.

Note that this method is very similar to the app Root genius and both of them will finally install KingRoot app.

POSSIBLE ERRORS AND FIXES

iRoot Rooting Failed

Fix: Make sure you have enabled all options on your device before starting the rooting process. Also check your android firmware version. It should be 4.4.4 or below. Also check for internet connection. A goof Wi-Fi connection or 3G/LTE connectivity is recommended.

iRoot Rooting process takes forever to complete.

Fix: This is popular error appears on devices running on Android 4.4.4 version. Although the developers said that this app can root android 4.4.4, the chances of success are very slim. If your device doesn’t have support to higher versions of android (lollipop, marshmallow or nougat) and your maximum supported firmware version is 4.4.4, then you can downgrade your firmware to 4.4.2 and succeed in rooting with iRoot.

iRoot crashes during the process of Rooting.

Fix: This is little frustrating when the app crashes very frequently even though you have followed all the steps carefully. This is a common error and there is not tweak fix for this. Keep trying again until you succeed.

iRoot Cannot root your device.

Fix: Your android version is either higher than 4.4.4 or you have a locked bootloader. If you have locked bootloader you can unlock this officially and proceed with rooting. If you have android version higher than 4.4.4, iRoot isn’t compatible with your device. Try using other apps like KingRoot.
